On Monday Feb 2nd at 10am this is what Franklin looked like. Franklin is clogged almost all the time, and yet the City of Los Angeles chooses to shut down a lane right in front of Cheremoya during rush hour. We need to be smarter about this stuff. Montreal fixes its streets during the night and we are trimming trees on one of the busiest streets in LA during rush hour! I stopped and talked to the tree trimmers and they agreed. They said it is almost impossible for them to do their job in such congested traffic. We need new, innovative work practices at city hall that have our employees doing their job at the most opportune time. There is so much that we can do to improve the quality of life for our citizens with just a little more thought.
